After a seven-year hiatus from television advertising, Eight O'Clock Coffee has launched a series of new spots showcasing its redesigned packaging and celebrating coffee enthusiasts.
The
TV ads use various scenarios showing Eight O'Clock Coffee lovers sacrificing other pleasures to "put coffee first." In one, for example, a young man is shown being more interested in brewing a pot of
Eight O'Clock than pursuing romance with his girlfriend.
The 30-second spots debuted on September 22 during the Emmy Awards broadcast.
The commercials will air in
markets representing approximately 48% of Eight O'Clock Coffee's volume, including cities such as New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Tampa, Baltimore, Cincinnati and Denver.
