MEC Global has successfully retained the media business of Beiersdorf, an international skin care company, in Italy, and added responsibilities in Spain, Portugal, and Greece to its portfolio. The
business is worth €100 million or $134.6 million across all 4 markets, with the retained Italian business worth €35 million or $47 million and the value of the other three at €65million
or $87.5 million. MEC Global bested Carat and incumbents Havas Media in Spain and OMD in Greece and Portugal for the win. MEC handles Beiersdorf’s business in the UK, Ireland, The Low
Countries, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland, while Carat will continue to handle the company’s media work in Germany and France.
