On Monday, two days before Christmas, it was all about fights, lights and singing heights on the broadcast networks -- with ABC taking in top honors.
ABC’s two-hour
“The Great Christmas Light Fight” starting at 9 p.m. posted a Nielsen 1.4 rating/4 share among 18-49 viewers, tied for the best-rated broadcast network show of the night. It improved 40%
from its premiere the week before.
“Fight” tied a CBS rerun of “Mike & Molly,” also earning a 1.4/4 at 9. p.m. “Mike & Molly” edged out
“Fight” in total viewers -- 5.7 million versus 5.3 million.
Earlier in the evening, at 8 p.m. “The Sing-Off” concluded its now usual December run with a season
finale rating of 1.3/4 -- down from a high 2.0 rating the week before, and off its 1.6 rating for its previous season finale. A week before, “Sing-Off” benefitted from a big lead-in
audience from “The Voice.”
More reality TV programming later in the evening at 10 p.m. included NBC: “Hollywood Game Night,” which took in a mild 1.0/3 -- on par
with its most recent episode.
CW had a Nielsen 0.3/1 among 18-49 viewers and 980,000 overall average viewers for “The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball” for two hours between 8 p.m. and
10 p.m.
CBS and Fox were in full rerun mode on the night, with ABC also airing a repeat of “Shrek the Halls.” ABC’s first-place Nielsen 1.3/4 on the night overall was
followed by NBC with a 1.2/4, CBS at a 1.1.4, Univision at a 0.9/3; Fox with a 0.5/2, and CW at a 0.3/1
