McKinsey Hopes To Become More Digitally Agile, Acquires Agiliti

Agiliti, the digital-focused management consulting firm founded by long-time Madison Avenue digital vet Jason Heller, has been acquired by McKinsey & Co. Terms were not disclosed, but Agiliti will be merged into McKinsey, forming a “new service offering focused on digital marketing operations.”

Heller -- who assumes the title of global lead-digital marketing operations at McKinsey -- will lead the unit, which will operate as part of McKinsey’s Marketing & Sales Practice, and will be “aligned with McKinsey Digital.”

In a note to Agiliti’s clients, Heller said the new McKinsey unit will continue to service them in the same capacity, but would also have the opportunity to “play key roles in broader efforts.”

“As many of you know, Agiliti has been collaborating with McKinsey for several years,” he wrote, adding: “We've had a chance to get to know each other, ensure that our philosophies, approach to problem solving, and most importantly, our vision for our clients' success are aligned. We've created something unique, and joining McKinsey gives us the global scale to serve clients in new and innovative ways.”
