Pinterest wrote and published a privacy policy Tuesday to help users understand the information it collects, how the company will use it, and the available choices to protect privacy. Some of the data
includes log data, cookie data and device information. The policy also explains how Pinterest uses information available outside the network such as when a Web site has integrated the Pin It button or
a Pinterest widget. Pinterest can use info about that visit to customize the experience back on Pinterest. If someone visits several Web sites that sell camping gear, Pinterest might show the site
visitor more Pins related to the outdoors and hiking.
