The Sherwin-Williams Company Diversified Brands Division consolidated its creative and media account with Deutsch New York. The Diversified Brands Division consists of Minwax, Krylon, Purdy,
Thompson's WaterSeal, Dutch Boy, Pratt & Lambert and Dupli-Color, among other brands. Deutsch will assume all marketing responsibilities, including media planning and buying, for the portfolio of
brands. Previously, Assembly served as the media agency for all brands. Creative duties were split among Doner in Southfield, Mich. (Krylon, Dutch Boy, Pratt & Lambert); Brushfire in Cedar Knolls,
N.J. (Thompson's WaterSeal, Minwax); and Marcus Thomas in Cleveland (digital efforts across all brands). According to Kantar Media, in 2013, Dupli-Color spent $720,000 on measured media, Krylon spent
$3.4 million, Minwax spent $6.9 million and Thompson's Water Seal spent $4.4 million.
