Martin Agency Intern Tracks Down Wrong Ad Person of the Year

So what's an agency do when it's asked to honor the 2014 Advertising Person of the year? Why, hand the project to an intern, of course. And that's exactly what The Martin Agency did.

In a hilarious spoof video, the agency "intern" is tasked with tracking down Mondelez International SVP and CMO Dana Anderson. Except the intern being an intern read the memo Dan A. Anderson. Always one to take on a challenge, the "intern" headed to the white pages (do they still exist?) to track down Dan A. Anderson who was ultimately located in Louisville, Kentucky.

What transpires next is a humorous back and forth of the most stultifying, droll and downright dull interview interplay you have ever seen. Because, of course, Dan A. Anderson isn't Dana Anderson -- and is, shall we say, far less inspiring than Dana Anderson. That said, he's probably far more representative of the average person's outlook when it comes to an outlook on advertising. Dan A. Anderson caps off the interview labeling the future of advertising: "Probably the same as always. Boring. Real flat ass boring."
