Engine Group Appoints Zoe Church Global Director of Business Development

Global marketing services network Engine Group has appointed Zoe Church as its global director of business development. In the newly created role, Church is responsible for growing the group’s global offering, with a particular focus on expanding its client roster.

She will be based in the network’s New York office.

Church joins Engine Group from Y&R, where she held regional and global business development positions in the U.S., UK and Australia over her 12-year tenure. She was director of business development of Y&R’s North American operation before leading development of the EMEA business out of London. She later rose to global director of business development, where she had a number of high-profile new business wins, including Bank of America, Special Olympics and extensive projects for Microsoft.

Terry Graunke, executive chairman of Engine Group, said, “As an expert in integrating brand communications, growing organic business and facilitating new business collaboration, Zoe will be instrumental in expanding our global reach.” 

Engine Group was acquired by Lake Capital in August of last year. The deal brought ORC International, the global market research and business intelligence firm, and entertainment and content marketing agency Trailer Park, into the network. The Group includes a number of other brands, such as WCRS, MHP Communications,  Partners Andrews Aldridge, Jam, and Deep Focus.

In November, Deep Focus merged with sibling shop Noise a youth and millennial marketing specialist. A short time later, it was named digital and social media agency of record for three Nestle Waters North America’s Regional Spring Water brands.

In addition to Nestle, clients include Unilever, Santander and Kimberly-Clark to all the major entertainment studios, including Warner Bros., Disney and 20th Century Fox.

Engine Group has offices in 30 cities worldwide with an offering that includes strategy, digital marketing, social media, advertising, public relations and content creation and production.
