
Closing in on the show’s final days, “Late Show with David Letterman” tops other late-night shows among all viewers -- as well as making gains among
younger audiences.
For the most recent week ending May 8, “Late Show” pulled in a Nielsen average 3.82 million viewers -- the best of all late-night broadcast shows. It is also just
over a million viewers higher than its season-to-date average of 2.83 million.
"Late Show" also made gains among 18-49 viewers -- but is still behind “The Tonight Show with Jimmy
Fallon” for the most recent week -- 0.64/3 to “Tonight," which earned a 0.93/4.
For the season, “Late Show” has been at 0.52/2 -- third among all of the big three
entertainment talk shows. Season-to-date, "Tonight" is at 1.15/5 and ABC’s "Jimmy Kimmel Live" is at a 0.63/3. "Kimmel" is just behind "Late Show" in total viewers for the season at 2.72
million.

CBS’ “Late Show” also helped boost its companion late-night show at 12:35 pm., CBS’ "Late Late Show with James Corden," to better results over its competition:
1.43 million viewers to NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyer," which had 1.2 million. For the season, NBC's “Late Night with Seth Meyers ” still leads, at 1.53 million viewers versus
the “Late Late Show,” which had 1.39 million.
Another later late-night show -- ABC’s “Nightline,” which airs from 12:35 to 1:05 a.m. -- is averaging 1.7 million
viewers for the season, down to 1.55 million in the most recent week.
