Infiniti Taps TEN For Pebble Beach Installation

Infiniti is giving visitors to the 2015 Pebble Beach Automotive Week a chance to experience its new concept cars through an immersive installation created by TEN: The Enthusiast Network, in collaboration with CP+B and Infiniti media agency of record OMD.

Visitors to the Infiniti Pavilion at the Pebble Beach Concours Plaza can get behind the wheel of the Infiniti Q60 and QX30 Concept vehicles, virtually, in the “Dream Road” simulator.

The simulator allows drivers to take the high-performance sports cars for a spin on some of the world’s most extreme roads, including the Stelvio Pass in Italy and the Atlantic Ocean Road in Norway -- all in comfort and safety. (And without the need to have search and rescue teams standing by.)

Infiniti worked with CXC Simulations and professional drivers to recreate the experience of driving on the scenic roads in the simulator, which reproduces G forces and tilt.

A second virtual reality experience at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance takes visitors on a guided tour of the design for the QX30 Concept vehicle. The experience, titled “From Pencil to Metal,” recreates the design process from sketches, to CAD files, clay models, and final production.

TEN’s Motor Trend magazine is also hosting a “ride-and-drive” experience with eight Infiniti vehicles, including the Q50 sport sedan, Q60S Convertible and the QX80 Limited.

Separately, Motor Trend is live streaming the event’s awards ceremony on Sunday, as the official media partner of the Concours d’Elegance competition. The live stream will include live commentary by TEN chief content officer Angus MacKenzie and Motor Trend senior features editor Johnny Lieberman. The stream will be available at Motor Trend OnDemand and the Motor Trend YouTube Channel.
