Stainmaster brand carpeting is enlisting pet expert Andrea Arden to promote the brand’s activities related to Adopt-A-Shelter Dog month. Arden is Animal Planet’s Pet Expert and the author of several dog behavior books.
"It's very important that new pets come into a comfortable home, so I'm thrilled to give pet owners some tips for creating that environment,” Arden says in a release.
In addition, Stainmaster will launch their third annual Sit, Stay & Save Events in collaboration with the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Stainmaster PetProtect is the Official Carpet Sponsor of the ASPCA.
At each Sit, Stay & Save Event, customers have the opportunity to meet adoptable animals, learn about stopping and preventing animal cruelty and get helpful tips on how to pet-proof their homes with Stainmaster PetProtect carpet.
The events take place nationwide now through Nov. 1 at select Stainmaster Flooring Centerretailers nationwide. The brand has created a dedicated Web site detailing the promotion. The company is also promoting events at STAINMASTER.com and on social media at Facebook.com/STAINMASTER or Twitter @STAINMASTER.
A 30-second TV spot shows pets “apologizing” for their stain-making ways. Featuring the song “I’m sorry,” the pets are shown with their messes (including muddy paws and sheding) and a note detailing how the mess was made.
Stainmaster PetProtectcarpet has built-in stain resistance that won’t wash off. The carpet also has a breathable moisture barrier on the carpet cushion that helps prevent spills from penetrating the padding and subfloor, allowing for more thorough cleaning, which reduces lingering odors. The carpet uses proprietary technologies and chemistries applied to the carpet that reduce the force of attraction between pet hair and the carpet, allowing the hair to be more easily removed with normal vacuuming.
