TubeMogul Taps Magna's Gordon, Will Lead Programmatic TV Effort

Todd Gordon is leaving Interpublic’s Mediabrands to become general manager of programmatic TV at TubeMogul, a new role at the programmatic video advertising platform.

Gordon, who has been senior vice president-U.S. director of Mediabrands’ Magna Global unit, will be responsible for TubeMogul’s first self-serve programmatic TV buying system, which was rolled out in December.

During his tenure at Magna, Gordon collaborated with TubeMogul, including a joint-venture with Mediabrands’ trading desk Cadreon announced earlier this year.

Gordon joins TubeMogul at a time when it has been upping its talent game with a number of new hires, including  Soren Abildgaard who joined as senior vice president-engineering in September from senior director of cloud platforms at Autodesk.

Congratulations to Todd Gordon, and to Tube Mogul on adding his talent to their roster. Todd had been in charge of IPG's much touted project to move 50% of all media buying to programmatic platforms by 2015; what happens on that now?
