ANA Taps Agency Veteran For Top Communications Post

The Association of National Advertisers has tapped John Wolfe as director of communications, a new role at the organization. He remains based in New York.

Previously Wolfe was SVP at DiGennaro Communications, a PR shop that specializes in the advertising marketing and media sectors. Before that he was director of communications for North America for WPP’s GroupM and its media agency Mindshare.

Earlier, Wolfe headed PR efforts for the American Association of Advertising Agencies. Before entering the PR realm Wolfe was a journalist, including a 10-year stint at Advertising Age, where he served as an editor in Chicago, London and New York. Earlier he wrote for the Associated Press, Kansas City Star and other publications.

Commenting on the hire, ANA President and CEO Bob Liodice said: “We’re very pleased to have someone with John’s experience and industry knowledge help us spread the word to all our constituents about our current and future activities and plans.  His background in both journalism and public relations makes him a valuable asset to our communications team.”
