Up or Down? Let The Toilet Seat Decide

In the future, couples won't argue over whether to leave the toilet seat up or down, according to Kohler's "Never Too Next" campaign.

A 30-second spot for the campaign created by DDB Chicago takes place sometime in the future with robots and humans intermingling at an upscale dinner party. Eventually, they end up convening in the restroom as they discover and are impressed with Kohler's Veil Intelligent Toilet.

The high tech toilet has, among other attributes, an automatic opening as well as temperature adjusted seats.

In addition to TV the campaign includes print and digital components, and a Web site with an online interactive product experience starring a robot guide that takes viewers through Veil Intelligent’s technological advancements and features.

The campaign is designed for upscale consumers and taste makers, or what DDB calls "sophisticates." The TV spot is running in national cable across HGTV, Bravo, ESPN, History Channel, Food Network and ION. TV also is airing on ABC and CBS prime time.

This campaign follows the similar "Never Too" effort that was first introduced by the brand and DDB Chicago in 2015.
