Agency Veteran Gary Slack Inducted Into ANA's New B-To-B Hall Of Fame

Veteran B-to-B agency marketing executive Gary Slack has been named the inaugural inductee into the Association of National Advertisers’ new Business-To-Business Hall of Fame.

Slack is the founder and chief experience officer of Slack and Company. Unlike most B-to-B marketing agencies, which specialize in either branding or demand generation, Slack and Co. has invested in both disciplines since its founding 25 years ago.

Before he founded the agency, Slack spent 11 years in senior management roles at Omnicom agencies Doremus & Co. and Porter Novelli. Earlier, he worked as a reporter for a newspaper in his native New Mexico.

Slack is a two-time past president of the Business Marketing Association’s Chicago chapter. And he served as chairman of BMA National’s executive committee in 2009 and 2010.

According to Linda McGovern, incoming Advisory Board Chair of the Business Marketing Association (acquired by ANA in 2014) the new Hall of Fame is intended to pay tribute to B-to-B professionals who have made significant and lasting contributions to the discipline throughout their careers.

ANA President and CEO Bob Liodice stated: “This is a significant and exciting step forward for the ANA since our acquisition of the Business Marketing Association...It illustrates our strong belief in the power and importance of B-to-B marketing, and I can think of no other industry professional more deserving of this inaugural honor than Gary Slack.”
