Shirley Romig is rejoining Publicis Groupe’s SapientNitro, the agency where she originally started her career. This time around she has moved up the career ladder from her early beginnings as a strategy consultant. Now, Romig has been named to the newly created post of global retail strategy lead based in New York.
Romig will join the agency's retail practice where she will be tasked with developing and leading growth strategies and digital business transformation initiatives for retail and luxury clients. She reports to Jem Ripley, global retail lead, SapientNitro.
Most recently Romig held several leadership positions with Hudson's Bay Company and Saks Fifth Avenue, where she oversaw the development and execution of Saks Fifth Avenue’s omni-channel transformation.
Earlier Romig specialized in retail consulting focusing on areas such as merchandising strategy, organizational and process design, and sales and margin improvement across a variety of retail clients including luxury, specialty, off-price, discount retailers and home fashion manufacturers.
“Today’s retailers are looking for help in solving complex challenges, including experience transformation and business optimization to support their omnichannel strategy and the use of data intelligence to optimize the overall business,” said Ripley. “These issues require deep industry expertise and a collaborative, solution oriented mindset. Shirley has a demonstrated track record of success in developing and implementing solutions to these complex issues in the retail industry.”
