Publicis Groupe has appointed Agathe Bousquet to the post of
president, Publicis Groupe in France to oversee its operations there, including Publicis Communications, Publicis Media, Publicis.Sapient and Publicis Health. The appointment marks a new
organizational setup in the country.
In this newly created role, Bousquet will report to Arthur Sadoun, who will become Publicis Groupe chairman and CEO on June 1, succeeding Maurice
Lévy.
Bousquet's appointment comes as the holding company continues to transform under its "The Power of One" umbrella — a reorganization that was launched in late 2015.
Bousquet brings a diverse background to this
position, having both nonprofit and agency experience.
Most recently, she served as chair and CEO of Havas Paris, where she oversaw the merger of Havas Paris with Havas 360 in 2015. She has
also spent time at Euro RSCG and worked with clients AREVA, Orange Business Services, Amgen, McDonald’s and the French Red Cross.
“Our clients need to accelerate their growth,
reduce their costs and reinforce their brands," stated Sadoun. "In order to do this, they not only have to transform their marketing, but also their business models. Our leadership in France across
creative, media and technology uniquely positions us to accompany them to meet these challenges."
He said Bousquet's goal is to "reinvent our relationships with our clients and reinforce our
positioning as the strategic partner in their own transformation."
Levy adds she will be responsible for "helping our clients get the most out of the Groupe’s assets and to benefit from
the full spectrum of Publicis Groupe’s resources. We are certain of the efficiency of this model, which once well-established, could be extended to other countries."
