Enterprise Rent-A-Car Plans 'Transformers' Promo

Enterprise Rent-A-Car is partnering with Paramount Pictures for the upcoming release “Transformers: The Last Knight.”

The film debuts in theaters on June 21. Through the partnership, Enterprise has created a “video throwback” to the Transformers TV ads from the 1980s.The video shows two kids using their Autobot action figures to fend off the evil Decepticons, with some added assistance from Enterprise’s rent, buy and share offerings. In one scene, as an Enterprise rental car helps take down the Decepticons, one of the children can be heard asking, “How ya like that customer service, Megatron?”

The video can be viewed on the company’s website.

In addition to the video, Enterprise customers will also notice movie-themed signage inside Enterprise branches through June, said Lee Broughton, vice president, Enterprise brand marketing.

“The brand will have counter mats, hang tags, and Transformers-themed posters in branches throughout the country,” Broughton says. “We will also have wrapped shuttle buses at various locations.”

Enterprise will have programmatic advertising along with paid promotion of the video across Facebook and Instagram.

“We’re also working with popular entertainment fan site, Fandom powered by Wikia, to have custom Transformers-related content created for the site, providing hardcore fans an immersive content experience,” Broughton tells Marketing Daily

Last summer Enterprise also partnered with Paramount for the release of “Star Trek Beyond.”

“Our customers have long made the connection between Enterprise Rent-A-Car and the famed U.S.S. Enterprise, and this partnership was a fun way to make this connection even stronger," Broughton says.

Cannonball worked with Enterprise on this project.
