Digital Players Adopt IAB Ads.txt Specification

The Interactive Advertising Bureau’s IAB Tech Lab said that after a review process, it has released the final version of the specification for its Ads.txt standard, which enables publishers to list their Authorized Digital Sellers.

Ads.txt Specification Version 1.0 is a tool for preventing inventory spoofing and unauthorized sellers.

Early adopters of Ads.txt started testing the implementation and are beginning to run Ads.txt crawlers, Alanna Gombert, SVP, technology and ad operations, IAB, and general manager, IAB Tech Lab, wrote in a blog post.

Some digital ad players have already adopted the spec, including Moat and Business Insider.
