Franklin, TN-based CKE Restaurants confirmed today it is conducting a review of its U.S. creative and digital assignments. The firm operates the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s quick-service restaurant franchises.
The incumbent is 72andSunny, part of MDC Partners, which is being invited to participate in the review. It has held the account for six years.
The client said it would be inviting a “select group” of agencies to participate in the review.
CKE said it was conducting the review now as “part of its strategy to continue redefining itself in the marketplace with breakthrough concepts leveraging cultural relevance and digital innovations.”
The company struck a positive tone regarding its relationship with 72andSunny, noting: “The brand is proud of that relationship and the evolution of the creative work.”
In addition to Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s, CKE Restaurants also manages the Green Burrito and Red Burrito restaurant brands. The CKE system includes more than 3,300 restaurant locations in 42 states and in 28 countries.
