The U.S. Patents and Trademark Office has awarded a patent relating to audio on smart devices to ClearOne, a voice and visual communications company headquartered in Salt Lake City.
The
patent, ‘endpoint parameter management architecture for audio mixers,’ enables audio mixers to configure and control smart, Internet-connected devices such as microphones, speakers,
amplifiers and room sensors, according to the company.
The new patent is one of more than 100 in ClearOne’s portfolio of patents and pending patent applications covering various aspects
of audio and video processing as well as audio and video streaming.
