Comcast Adds Phone Finder Through Voice Remote

Comcast has introduced a new feature that enables Xfinity mobile customers to search for and locate their mobile phone misplaced somewhere in the house by using the X1 voice remote.

To use the phone finder, a consumer picks up the remote and says ‘Xfinity mobile, find my phone.” In the case of multiple phones in a household, the consumer would say the name of the phone owner, since every Xfinity mobile customers assigns a name to their phone number.

When a phone is located, it rings, letting the consumer know its location, presuming the phone is turned on and the ringer is on.

“At one point or another, everyone has lost their mobile phone in their home,” said Amaya Capellan, senior director of product management and customer experience for Xfinity Mobile. “There’s no set up required.”

Of course, another way to find a lost phone is to use a different phone to call the number.
