As more people acquire and start using voice-activated smart speakers, they eventually do different things with them.
To coincide with the opening of CES in Las Vegas this week, Google just released research showing what many smart speaker owners do with their devices.
It turns out that most (72%) people who own a smart speaker say the device often becomes part of their daily routine.
Purchasing is also among the activities, with 62% of avid smart speaker users likely to buy something through their device in the next month.
Almost half (41%) of consumers who own a smart speaker say it feels like talking to a friend or another person.
The findings are based on a survey of 1,600 U.S. voice-activated, adult speaker owners who use their device monthly, conducted by Peerless Insights and Google.
