Kenneth Kulbok is departing LinkedIn to return to programmatic
demand-side platform Avocet as European managing director. In this newly created role, Kulbok will be responsible for Avocet’s business in Europe as well as contributing to global company
strategy and direction, while chief executive officer Ezra Pierce will relocate to New York to launch Avocet's U.S. operations.
This appointment serves as a reunion for the ad tech executive
who first founded Avocet with Pierce and CTO Simon Critchley in 2014.
At LinkedIn Kulbok was head of programmatic EMEA. In early 2017 he and Pierce started talking about a reunion while
skiing in the French Alps resort of Avoriaz.
Over the course of last year, the three original founders discussed the evolving programmatic industry and Avocet's future direction, which
led to the decision that Kulbok would return to the DSP while Pierce would focus on the U.S.
"It’s time to ensure that the wider market knows about the innovative features that are
available to use at no extra cost to demonstrate measurable uplift," says Kulbok.
