The tech giants face a new form of taxation in the EU, the
BBC reports. The figure is expected to be 3% of sales. This would circumvent schemes which divert huge revenues streams to areas of
very low taxation or see a parent company charge an EU subsidiary a massive fee for using its name, so profit is mostly wiped out for tax purposes.
