LogRhythm has become an API alliance partner of Mimecast Ltd, combining its SIEM platform with Mimecast’s email security capability. 

The partnership allows joint customers to employ LogRhythm's correlation and security analytics by integrating email security data Mimecast’s cloud service, Mimecast says. This service is designed to improve email threat detection and facilitate such actions as  disabling accounts, quarantining email, and updating security policies 

Mimecast notes that the partnership follows the launch of the API Developer portal, a site where developers can access sample code, documentation and pre-built integration packs. 

"Most organizations lack centralized visibility across their disparate security solutions and don't have the ability to automate advanced analytics across data from those and other systems,” states Matt Winter, vice president of marketing and business development, LogRhythm.“This makes it difficult to distinguish real threats from false positives.”
