Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants continues its tradition of embracing the LGBTQ community with a number of activations focusing on National Pride Month in June.
The activities not only show support for the LGBTQ community, but incorporate fundraising to support The Trevor Project, a change-making group for LGBTQ youth and a long-standing partner of the brand. A special reservation link prompts Kimpton to donate $10 per night to The Trevor Project, plus guests get 15% off the hotel’s best flexible rate.
The InterContinental Hotels Group unit is partnering with Absolut Vodka to offer signature Pride cocktails on-property with a portion of the sales going toward The Trevor Project. The cocktails will be infused with seasonal, fresh, lively and bright garnishes, adding a rainbow of color to each property’s drink (i.e., lemon twist, cucumber strip, raspberries, mango, etc). Absolut will be Kimpton’s official spirit partner for Pride, extending beyond just Pride Month in June.
The hotel company is also partnering with Bodegas Callia for social wine hours. Properties will have Bodegas Callia as their “Wines that Care” partner for wine hours in June. In honor of Pride, Bodegas Callia will be making a donation to The Trevor Project based on how much wine Kimpton pours throughout the month.
Kimpton employees will be marching in Pride parades across the country under the #KimptonLove tagline. They will hand out colorful swag to parade spectators.
Finally, to help get pumped up and excited for Pride activities, Kimpton’s music director, Lauren Bucherie, created a Kimpton Pride Playlist on Spotify.
