IDG,
technology publisher of PCWorld, Macworld, Tech Advisor, Computerworld and TechHive, has entered into a two-year partnership with content discovery platform
Outbrain.
The partnership allows IDG to apply Outbrain’s suite of Engage Solution tools, which deliver organic and sponsored content, to the audiences of its international
publishing titles in the U.S., UK, and select targets in France and Spain.
By using the Engage Solution tool, IDG will be able to bolster its curated editorial through personalization, thereby
increasing audience growth and engagement. The tools also allow for opportunities to increase revenue across all digital platforms.
Outbrain reaches 1 billion unique users. Its
personalized content recommendations number 275 billion and extend across 80% of the world’s publishers.

Simon Jary, publishing director, IDG in the US and UK, stated he believes
Outbrain “offers us an array of innovative recirculation tools to help us both increase traffic and monetize it in a customizable way.”
Earlier this year, Outbrain
announced an exclusive partnership with Telaria, which allowed the company’s clients, including Meredith Corp and Conde Nast, to apply new video-based elements to their platforms. The video
element also offers the option of live reporting and stronger fraud protection.
