Grey Forms Consulting Unit

It’s turning out to be a big week for agencies in the consulting space as the two sectors continue to compete aggressively for clients seeking broad management and business transformation counsel.

Earlier today, Omnicom announced its first acquisition in the management/IT consulting sector—Dallas-based Credera.

Now there’s word from Grey Group that it has created a new global unit called Grey Consulting that will focus on business and brand design, innovation and digital transformation issues.

The new practice will draw on existing strategic and technology resources and a staff of 150 across the globe to start. Charter clients include Procter & Gamble, GSK and JM Smuckers.

Leo Rayman, CEO of Grey London, well head the new unit as CEO. The search for his replacement at the London operation is ongoing.

"This new initiative is a key part of our agenda for Grey's future growth and competitiveness," said Grey Group CEO Michael Houston. "Leo has spent nearly two decades becoming one of the United Kingdom's most forward-looking practitioners of strategic planning.  That experience combined with his successful track record for business innovation while leading Grey London makes him a huge asset to our global network."
