Former ABC Correspondent Ross Joins Law & Crime OTT Network

Former ABC News investigative correspondent Brian Ross and his producer, Rhonda Schwartz, are joining the over-the-top streaming network Law & Crime.

Ross and Schwartz left ABC News earlier this year after Ross served a suspension due to an “error in reporting” about former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. He had been the chief investigative correspondent for the network, with Schwartz leading the investigations team.

At Law & Crime, Ross will host an on-air program and be the lead on-air investigations reporter, while Schwartz will lead the investigations unit and serve as his EP.

Law & Crime launched earlier this year, and is trying to fill the void left by Court TV, which has since morphed into the comedy network TruTV, and HLN, which has largely left the crime and justice coverage areas to focus on breaking news.

It was founded by the news anchor and legal commentator Dan Abrams, with backing from A+E Networks, where Abrams also hosts the program “Live PD.”

Law & Crime is applying the OTT model forged by Cheddar to the criminal justice genre. The service is available to stream direct and through partners, and is also being offered to linear distribution partners.
