European Court Rules British Intelligence Acted Illegally

The European Court of Human Rights has ruled Britain's listening station for the intelligence services, GCHQ, acted illegally when it conducted mass interceptions of electronic messages without adequate governance on how data was processed. The Telegraph reveals that the case was brought against the spy service by privacy groups after the activity had been flagged up by Edward Snowden.
