Sling TV is out with a new campaign featuring comedic power duo Nick Offerman (“Parks And Recreation”) and Megan Mullally (“Will And Grace”). It’s from the Martin
Agency, and it’s called “Meet The Slingers.”
The spots are said to be the first ads the couple have appeared in together. As you’d expect, they’re pretty
funny.
One of the interesting things about the campaign is that Mullally and Offerman weren’t just actors in the campaign. They developed their own characters for the spots, the first
two of which started running earlier this week on broadcast and digital, according to an agency rep.
The couple was given the creative freedom to shape the look, wardrobe, personality and
performance of their characters, not to mention improvising a good deal during the shoot.
In one spot, called “Stretch,” Mullally, thoroughly vamping it up, intones: “You
don’t need any special training to start slinging.” But, adds Offerman: “You do need to limber up.” She then puts her hubby (of 15 years) through a painful stretch routine.
“Look at me, no crying!” she commands.

I won’t spoil all the fun, but you can check out the rest of what they came up with here and here.
Credit The Martin Agency for getting the word out on this
campaign and not just to the trades. The couple hit the talk show circuit this week with visits to "Good Morning America," "Ellen," "The View" and "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy
Fallon."
