Pavone Acquires DDCworks

Pavone Marketing Group (PMG) is purchasing DDCworks to expand the specialized network's expertise in healthcare and retail as well as grow its Philadelphia footprint. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 50-year old DDCworks is a full-service agency supporting primarily niche-based clients such as Insulet Corporation’s Omnipod Insulin Management System which was recently brought on as a new client over the summer.

While Pavone's team will move into DDCworks Philadelphia headquarters, the agency will now operate under the Pavone umbrella. DDCworks founder Mike Dicciccio will serve as the lead strategist for client Insulet as well as work as a group brand manager within PMG. His leadership team — creative, media and brand strategy — will be integrated into their respective disciplines across Pavone. The acquisition brings PMG's total staff in Philadelphia to more than 20 team members.

“This move is all about alignment, vision and a willingness to exceed client expectations — something both agencies have in common,” says Dicciccio. “Literally overnight we’ve become bigger, smarter and more experienced. That’s good news for us and better news for our clients.”

In addition to Pavone, which serves health systems, finance, retail and government; PMG also operates quench, a food and beverage agency working with Sun-Maid, Starkist, Del Monte Turkey Hill Dairy, and Herr’s; and Varsity, which specializes in senior living and continuing care retirement communities including Presby’s Inspired Life, Saint John’s On The Lake, and Augustana Elim Care Services.
