MDC's Yes And Company Appoints Stedman Chief Strategy Officer

MDC Partners' newly aligned agency network Yes and Company has made its first senior hire. Scott Stedman has been tapped for the newly created Chief Strategy Officer role.

Stedman will split his time between New York and Boston to help better integrate the agency's proposition of combining data, creative strategy and technology. He reports directly to CEO Michael Bassik.

MDC formed the specialist network in May by grouping Bruce Mau Design, Hello Design, Northstar and Varick to form this "nimble" 200 employee-staffed vertical network. It works with clients such as Allstate, Asics, Audi, Delta, Diageo, Facebook, Netflix and Tillamook.

Stedman joins Yes and Company after recently opening Tourists (he is a partner in the enterprise), a luxury hotel resort based in Western Massachusetts.

He previously served as a consultant, developing and leading content deals and partnerships with global brands, including Dell, Microsoft, Kellogg’s and Jameson, among others.

"Scott thinks like a disruptor and an entrepreneur, which is why he immediately grasped the potential of our unique specialist-driven model," says Bassik. "There is no one who can better dissect a client’s business challenge and form an agile, skilled and collaborative team to unlock it.”
