The UK's major sports betting companies have come together to voluntarily stop running ads during living sporting events, outside of horse racing.
The Drum reports the move is being seen as
the industry bowing to widespread pressure that running betting ads during a break in a live sporting event could be harmful because it normalises the act of sports betting.
