KitchenAid Intros Smart Display With Google Assistant At CES

KitchenAid is introducing at CES an addition to its connected appliances in the form of a multifunctional smart display using Google Assistant.

The KitchenAid Smart Display is intended to provide home cooks with a central hub and uses the Yummly voice and visual meal planning functionality to allow users to search for recipes and view instructional videos for meals, manage and control smart home devices and listen to music.

"We want makers to have freedom in the kitchen," stated Christy Hoskins, senior brand manager, KitchenAid. "They should be able to find new recipes and experiment with new ingredients, flavors and textures, all without worrying about how to clean off messy fingerprints."

The KitchenAid Smart Display with Google Assistant sports a 10-inch display, allowing users to create shopping lists, make purchases with Google Express, set timers and reminders and browse recipes.

As part of the CES introduction, Yummly Pro is debuting as a new platform on the Yummly app offering step-by-step guided video recipe instructions from well-known chefs.
