Urban Airship, a customer engagement vendor, has acquired Accengage, a Europe-based provider of mobile CRM and push notifications. Terms were not disclosed.
Together, the firms will offer tools to fuel email, SMS, apps, websites, mobile wallets and other channels. They will send 90 million messages per month worldwide, Urban Airship claims.
CEO and co-founder Patrick Mareuil will serve as managing director of the EMEA region from Urban Airship’s new Paris office. All Accengage employees will be absorbed into Urban Airship.
Urban Airship serves such Fortune 100 companies as Adidas, ASOS, BBC, Caesars Entertainment, Jet Airways, Shop Direct, Vodafone and Zeit Online.
Accengage brings such customers as Air France-KLM, Lidl, Mediaset España, OUI.sncf, Orange, Sephora Europe, vente-privee.com and Zalando.
The firms serve many of the same verticals--retail, finance, media and travel — while using the same back-end technologies and programming languages.
Urban Airship’s platform includes analytics, predictive machine learning, in-app automation, SMS, mobile wallet, email and orchestration of messages across channels.
Accengage has expertise in Facebook Messenger support, targeting, cloud integration and customer support in five languages.
