Media agency Initiative, part of IPG’s Mediabrands, is doing some reorganizing in its Los Angeles office, which will affect a handful of positions.
The good news: those in eliminated roles may be placed in other positions at the agency.
A spokesman confirmed the development with this statement: “We made a business decision to consolidate our buying/investment teams in the LA office, impacting less than 10 people in the organization who we are actively looking to find other roles within the agency.
"This does not affect the Rufus team [which services Amazon], and Initiative LA overall is growing, as is the rest of the agency.”
Word of that reorganization followed a larger cutback at Mediabrands’ Birmingham, Michigan, office, following the loss of the Fiat Chrysler business. Affected staffers may also find new roles within the broader organization.
