Turner Sports, Caesars Entertainment Strike Betting Deal

Moving on the Supreme Court decision to legalize sports gambling, Turner Sports has inked a deal with Caesars Entertainment to develop gaming-related content.

Caesars Palace Las Vegas will soon be home to a Turner Sports’ Bleacher Report branded studio, originating from inside its legendary sportsbook.

TV networks have been excited about the growth possibilities around sports gambling, with the prospect of pulling in larger viewers for its sports programming content and improvement advertising revenue.

Ben Swinburne, Morgan Stanley media analyst, has estimated sports betting could generate nearly $2 billion of overall new media spend from advertising and sponsorship.

Turner Sports’ coverage on Turner sports TV networks includes the NBA, Major League Baseball, NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, ELEAGUE, and professional golf.

Turner Sports also expect to reap consumer/viewer benefits as it potentially connects with Caesars Entertainment’s 55 million Total Rewards loyalty program members.

In May 2018, the Supreme Court struck down a 1992 federal law that prohibited most states from legalizing sports betting.
