BSSP Elevates CCO Matthew Curry to Partner

BSSP (formerly known as Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners) is elevating Matthew Curry to Partner. Curry replaced founding partner John Butler – who previously announced he was moving to co-chair last fall – and has been working alongside CEO David Eastman, who succeeded founding partner Greg Stern.

Curry will continue to serve in his current chief creative officer role. With his integrated and digitally-focused background, Curry will focus his efforts on creative output, talent, work process, new business and overall leadership.

Before joining BSSP in September, Curry worked at 72andSunny as group creative director leading work for Google, Activision, and Starbucks. He also spent time at David&Goliath, Saatchi & Saatchi, AKQA, and Ogilvy, where he led work for clients such as Nike, Beats by Dr Dre, Toyota, Johnnie Walker, Kia, and Motorola.

“I’ve sat across from Matt for the last six months, and watching him architect the strategic and creative way forward has been genuinely inspiring," says Eastman. "But even more impressive is how he’s shown up as a partner to me, and all of us, in building the next iteration of BSSP. I couldn’t think of a better partner or creative leader for this agency."
