Bryan Wiener and Sarah Hofstetter have resigned
as CEO and President, respectively, of media and marketing research firm Comscore.
The move comes nearly a year after Wiener left as founder and CEO of 360i to join Comscore, and
just months after 360i cofounder Hofstetter followed him to Comscore.
Their resignations follow a restructuring of Comscore’s board to include three long-time advertising and
media industry executives, including former GroupM global CEO Irwin Gotlieb, long-time digital marketing executive Joanne Bradford (formerly Yahoo, Microsoft and BusinessWeek, and currently CMO of
Social Finance Inc.), and former MRI President-CEO Kathi Love.
In a statement, Wiener cited “irreconcilable differences” with Comscore’s board and its strategic
direction, and Hofstetter made a similar statement supporting Wiener as part of her decision to leave.
Comscore named Dale Fuller interim CEO and the board said it has begun a search
to identify a permanent successor, and that it would consider both external and internal candidates.
Fuller has served as a Comscore board director since March 2018 and as chair of
Comscore's audit committee since April.
