The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency has selected MARC USA’s Cogniscient Media to handle all media planning and buying duties. It's the agency's second lottery account. It has handled the Pennsylvania Lottery as AOR since 2002.
The Maryland Lottery contract, for three years with a two-year renewal option, gives MARC USA responsibility for developing media strategy to drive sales and profit.
Leo Mamorsky, Managing Director/Chief Marketing Officer for the Maryland Lottery, stated, “We were very impressed with MARC USA’s media expertise and advanced data analytics capabilities in addition to its 16 years of helping the Pennsylvania Lottery grow.”
MARC has opened a Baltimore office to provide on-the-ground service to its new client. The new office is headed by Rob Rex, senior vice president/performance marketing. The 20-year digital media veteran recently rejoined MARC to lead the Maryland Lottery account.
Dave Buklarewicz, the agency’s executive media director, said, “we’re building out our media staffing for our core team in Baltimore. They’ll also be supported by team members in Pittsburgh and Boston with Lottery expertise.”
