Alamo Rent A Car Comes To Life With First App

The Challenge

Alamo Rent A Car focuses on the leisure traveler market, and lives within Enterprise Holdings Inc.’s portfolio of brands. In continuation of a broad digital transformation effort that began with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and progressed into National Car Rental, the brand set out to create its first mobile application.

The Execution

Agency Isobar was able to shift from strategy to experience and creative design to development, testing and public release in less than a year. To bring Alamo’s helpful and fun personality to life, it created a bold visual language that stands out against the competition. 

All interactions, from on-boarding to reservations to customer support, were rethought from the ground up, all with the customer top of mind. The finished product is a focused, seamless rental experience.

The app has been rolled out in the U.S. and Canadian markets, with plans for additional countries this year. By creating a new blueprint for the digital expression of the vibrant Alamo brand, it was able to further set the stage for the evolution of its digital properties, namely 

The Results

  • On track to hit its 700,000-visitor goal.
  • Met the goal of having an average app rating of 4.
  • At the top of ForeSee CSAT benchmarks for travel apps. 
  • Current downloads come in at just under 100,000. 
  • Build time was reduced by 20% through the use of React Native.
