The Atlantic and Anonymous Content have signed a multi-year, first-look deal, meaning that the production company will get first access to develop and produce scripted and unscripted content from The Atlantic’s journalism.
This includes feature films, documentaries, television shows and podcasts.
Anonymous Content has developed many popular film and TV series, from “The Revenant” and “Spotlight" to “True Detective” (HBO) and “Mr. Robot” (USA Network).
“We look forward to bringing more great Atlantic stories to film and television,” stated The Atlantic President Bob Cohn.
Cohn told Variety, which first reported the news, that about a dozen potential projects have been identified.
The Atlantic and Anonymous Content share a common investor: Emerson Collective, which was founded by Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
