Menlo Security Nails $75 Million In Funding

Cloud security provider Menlo Security has landed $75 million in Series D funding.

The round was led by clients advised by JP Morgan Asset Management and existing investors, including General Catalyst, Sutter Hill Ventures, Osage University Partners, American Express Ventures, HSBC, JP Morgan Chase and Engineering Capital.

The funding will be used to expand the company’s global sales team to drive use of its Internet Isolation product.

Jonathan Ross, portfolio manager and managing director at JP Morgan Asset Management, will join Menlo’s board.

The company’s Internet Isolation product is designed to provide a “Zero-Trust Internet by keeping all email and web content off of end user computers and devices, thereby seeking to eliminate malware attacks from these prominent threat vectors,” Ross states.

CEO Amir Ben-Efraim adds that the firm sees “a constant stream of phishing and malware attacks” evading the defenses at businesses.

Menlo claims that it isolates over 500 million websites per day. Its clients include the U.S .Department of Defense’s IT combat support agency: the Defense Information Systems Agency.
