
Verizon
has launched into four additional cities 5G, high-speed cellular service that can be accessed with 5G-enabled mobile devices.
The cities added are Atlanta, Detroit, Washington D.C. and
Indianapolis.
Version said its 5G Ultra Wideband service will be available this year in more than 30 cities including: Boston, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Des
Moines, Houston, Kansas City, Little Rock, Memphis, Phoenix, San Diego and Salt Lake City.
Mobile phones that can take advantage of the 5G speeds are marketed by LG, Samsung and
Motorola.
The higher speeds allow the downloading of movies in seconds. The availability tends to be within areas that are densely populated.
