Agari has debuted a tool that it says inspects all emails flowing from employee to employee within a company to protect against impersonation attacks.
The new tool, Insider Impersonation
Protection, scans outgoing and internal emails to prevent the lateral spread of ransomware and spear-phishing attacks, the company says.
In addition, it analyzes and detects malicious
attachments and indicates when an email account has been compromised. It also removes suspicious emails.
"The fact is, most companies simply are not adequately prepared to address internal
threats because the necessary tools have not been available, until now," said Armen Najarian, CMO of Agari. "Cybercriminals are expert at sniffing out vulnerabilities
and pounce on opportunities, when they sense weak defenses or detect no defenses are in place.”
