Independent agency Horizon Media and Carat, part of Dentsu Aegis Network, are the leaders in winning new business accounts — in the U.S. and globally, respectively — through the first eight months of 2019, according to an analysis by consultant R3 Worldwide.
In the U.S., Horizon’s recent wins include Northwell Health System and Kroger, offset by the loss of pet food maker Blue Buffalo.
R3 estimates the agency’s year-to-date U.S. “win” revenue at nearly $112 million and overall revenue at about $109 million.
The independent shop is also ranked No. 2 globally in the period behind Carat, whose recent wins include Vodafone Global and a piece of Coca-Cola business offset by the loss of a recent retail account in Australia.
Carat’s YTD global win revenue is estimated at $140 million, with overall revenue pegged at about $126 million, per R3.
Carat was also second-ranked in the U.S. market.
Rounding out the top five new business leaders in the U.S. are OMD, Mindshare and Mediahub.
