Skin care products marketer Beiersdorf has appointed Publicis Groupe as the global agency and “marketing transformation” partner for its Nivea brand, effective in January.
The appointment comes after a holding company-level pitch. The review did not include media.
Publicis Groupe has created a bespoke unit called “One Touch,” that will service the brand across 40 markets, with major hubs in New York, Sao Paulo, Cape Town, Dubai, Mumbai, Shanghai, Bangkok, Moscow and Hamburg.
Justin Billingsley, CEO of Publicis Groupe in Germany, Austria and Switzerland led the pitch for the holding company.
The Observatory and The Alchemists managed the pitch process.
The award follows news earlier this week that insurer AXA retained Publicis Groupe for creative duties after a review.
