Twitter Honors Twitter Campaigns By PHD, OMD Clients

Twitter collaborated with PHD Global and OMD EMEA to celebrate best in class planning efforts and innovative use of the messaging platform by brands working with those two Omnicom agencies.

Of the four categories recognized, two focus on launching new products and connecting to "what’s happening," while the remaining two categories recognize a rising star (Renault) and innovator of the year (Levi’s Spain).

"#Innovators is meant to help agencies break through in a crowded marketplace and teach marketers how to fully leverage all of our new products and features strategically," explains Cal Knight, global agency lead for Omnicom at Twitter. He adds, "We piloted this program with PHD globally and OMD in EMEA specifically due to the immediate excitement and commitment from their leadership teams and given their diverse set of clients, many of whom are doing best in class work in the industry."



Winners include McDonald's for the Best Launch Award to recognize the fast food chain's UK work driving guests to order the Big Mac Bacon sandwich. Audi's U.S. team received the top  award for Connect With What's Happening for car maker's e-tron brand which focused on building brand relevance via the platform.

"Strategic thinking is what helps build businesses and we wanted to celebrate that work," says Knight. "We decided to do that on a global scale to bridge silos across countries and showcase best practices from around the world."
